THE DREAM... Terry, a Medical Intuitive and Life Science Nutritionist, had a dream to live in a retreat atmosphere every day of her life and learn the Art of Living naturally. She was drawn specifically to Las Terrenas where she and her husband Mark, also a Life Science Nutritionist and avid nature lover, could follow her dream of living a holistic lifestyle. After experiencing year round perfect temperatures, constant fresh air and sunshine, making the choice to be in paradise became an easy one. They traded the every day grind of normal living in their native land for their new life in Las Terrenas where together they enjoy Terrazzo living, the sounds of the rushing river, views of the sea, beautiful mountains, refreshing swimming holes, a waterfall, fruit trees and royal palms. From these elements came the inspiration and dream to share this paradise, retreat lifestyle with others. With the help of their architect, Cristobal Cuevas, the dream has begun to manifest.
THE PROJECT... SAL de VIDA is a secure private residency for people who like the idea of living in an atmosphere of retreat year round. It will be built in three stages with the intention of becoming a self sufficient, natural environment that supports a conscious community. SAL de VIDA will consist of a total of 15 villas and penthouses, all with spectacular views of the sea, river and mountains. The combination of the architecture, landscape, and feng shui keeps you in touch with the sea, fresh air and sunshine every day. To support the Art of Living naturally, you will have access to an exercise room, an outdoor meditation platform for yoga by the river, river rooms, natural mineral and clay baths, two labyrinths, organic gardens and a medicinal juice bar.
PHASE 1 includes 3 valley villas for purchase or rent ranging from 150m2 to 280m2 in size.
The last stage of PHASE 1 will include an Apothecary for natural medicine and health foods that are produced on site, such as raw coconut oil, noni juice, organic eggs and raw cacao.
PHASE 2 will include 2 mountain top villas and 1 penthouse ranging from 300m2 to 420m2 in size
PHASE 3 will conclude the construction of the remaining 9 penthouses. The final stage of PHASE 3 will be a Mineral Spa Sanitarium and an Institute for the Art of Living.
Why a Conscious Community? Simply because it makes life easier. For the past 30 years Terry has had a commitment to living life mindfully with respect to all people, the earth and most of all self. She thought that one day it would be nice to live in a community with others who had similar intentions. Their youngest daughter Sierra-Project Coordinator and her husband Brian-Sales Manager also live in the community following their dream of trying to live an organic life. Others are anticipating the completion of SAL de VIDA so that they can experience all that it has to offer in natural living.
